The Public Offer: Splunk Inc (NASDAQ:SPLK) has announced that it will be offering 6 million shares of its common stock through a underwritten registered public offering to the public at $81 per share. The underwriters will also have an option to purchase an additional 900,000 shares in case of over allotments. The issue is expected to close on January 28, 2013. The company plans to use the net proceeds for general corporate needs as well as for working capital requirements.
